Centre for Newcomers
EmpowerEDU Technology partnered with the Centre for Newcomers, a Calgary-based organization supporting immigrants and refugees as they build successful lives in Canada. Through the donation of technology, newcomer youth gained access to devices that support schoolwork, online learning, digital literacy, community resources, and future career development. By helping remove barriers to reliable technology access, this initiative empowers newcomer youth to build confidence, succeed academically, and pursue greater educational and employment opportunities.
Calgary Catholic School District
EmpowerEDU Technology partnered with the Calgary Catholic School District’s Indigenous Education team to provide Chromebooks to students and families facing barriers to reliable technology access at home. The devices help students complete assignments, access online learning resources, conduct research, connect with educational supports, and build essential digital skills. By expanding access to technology beyond the classroom, this initiative supports greater educational equity, confidence, and academic opportunity for Indigenous students across Calgary.
Inn From the Cold
Inn from the Cold supports families experiencing housing instability as they work toward greater strength, stability, and independence. EmpowerEDU Technology donated 12 laptops to help the children, youth, and parents they serve access essential digital tools. These devices will support students with homework, online learning, and educational resources, while also helping parents search for housing and employment, access community services, manage appointments, and complete important paperwork. This donation helps families stay connected, continue learning, and take important steps toward achieving long-term stability.
